Following the expansion of our Auction Centre in Whitefield, we are recruiting a committed Auction Operations Assistant to help support our growing workload. This is a hands-on, varied role where your work directly contributes to successful auction outcomes and exceptional client service.

The Role

As an Auction Operations Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our operations team, helping prepare assets for sale, assisting customers on-site, and supporting the safe and efficient transport of auction goods. No two days are the same, and you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, practical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Collection & Handling

  • Safely collect, move, and load assets from client sites across the UK.
  • Transport items to our Whitefield facility following full Health & Safety procedures.

Auction Preparation

  • Catalogue, photograph, and label items accurately for our online auction platform.
  • Assist with setting up and clearing down auction spaces.

Customer Service

  • Support clients and buyers during viewings, inspections, and collections.
  • Provide clear, friendly, professional assistance on-site.

Inventory & Facility Management

  • Maintain accurate records of auction items.
  • Keep storage and sales areas tidy, organised, and compliant with safety requirements.

Teamwork

  • Work closely with colleagues to meet deadlines and deliver smooth, high-quality operations.

Essential Requirements

  • Physically fit and able to handle heavy or delicate items safely.
  • Strong attention to detail when cataloguing and preparing assets.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proactive, dependable, and eager to learn.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
  • Willingness to work out of hours and travel, including occasional overnight stays.
