The opportunity to acquire a globally recognised technology (hardware and SaaS) business, specialised in the agritech sector, covering the majority of the value chain, including in-house data science and manufacturing/fabrication of advanced vertical farms.

Overview

The company specialises in the design, manufacture and construction of automated SaaS-driven vertical farms, powered by proprietary hardware and software. These create the optimal conditions for crops, across a variety of use cases, from food production through to reforestation and drug development. This is all supported by a multi-disciplinary team spanning engineering through to crop science, operations and data.

Despite significant challenges in an embryonic sector, the company is approaching its nine-year mark but needs to scale in order for the unit economics of its systems and data science to have the greatest impact, in regions that face acute challenges with respect to climate change, including water scarcity.

Operates from three leasehold premises; centred around a modern, well-maintained industrial unit with specialist machinery and equipment for manufacturing and fabrication co-located with science-led-growing facilities in the South East of the UK.
