Our work supports business recovery and asset optimisation, with our reputation in the industry driving significant growth. Having doubled the size of our Auction Centre in Whitefield, Manchester, we are scaling up operations and seeking passionate individuals to join our collaborative and dynamic team.

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Auction Operations Assistant to join our team. The role is varied and responsive, and you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our auctions and supporting the day-to-day activities of the business.

  • Asset Handling and Transport: Securing assets off-site and relocating to our sales facility, ensuring secure removal undertaken in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.
  • Auction Preparation: Set up and break down auction spaces, including cataloguing, labelling, photographing and listing assets on our online auction platform with accurate descriptions.
  • Customer Engagement: Provide excellent service to clients and customers during asset collection, viewings and auctions, assisting with item inspections and answering basic queries.
  • Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate records of auction items, including labelling, storage, and retrieval.
  • Facility Maintenance: Keep sales and storage areas clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our small, dedicated team to ensure efficient, high-quality collection and sale operations within deadlines.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy or delicate items safely and efficiently.
  • Precision and Accuracy: Meticulous approach to cataloguing, handling, and transporting high-value assets to maintain and maximise their condition and value.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, with the ability to learn auction and CRM platforms (training provided).
  • Can-Do Attitude: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, ready to tackle challenges and contribute positively to the team.
  • Customer Service Skills: Polite, professional and approachable demeanour when interacting with clients.
  • Team Player: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
  • Reliability: Punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Driving License: Valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points, own transport in desirable.
  • Availability: Willingness to work out of hours and occasional overnight stays.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., porter, warehouse, or logistics) is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Competitive salary of up to £25,000, depending on skills and experience, with the opportunity to boost earnings through performance-based auction sales commission.
